Expanding Junction’s At-Home Diagnostics Portfolio: PCR-Based UTI Testing

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are among the most common reasons people seek care – yet diagnosis and treatment are often slow, inconsistent, or based on incomplete data. For patients navigating recurrent or chronic symptoms, this can mean delayed answers, trial-and-error antibiotics, and unnecessary friction in care.

At Junction, we strive to make it easier for healthcare organizations to deliver reliable diagnostics – whether testing happens in a clinic, a lab, or at home. As part of that effort, we’re expanding our at-home diagnostics portfolio with PCR-based UTI testing, powered by MyUTI.

Why UTI testing needs a better model

Traditional UTI diagnostics frequently rely on in-clinic urine cultures that can be slow, limited in scope, or inaccessible for patients receiving care remotely. For digital-first and telehealth care models, this creates a clear gap: how do you deliver accurate, clinically meaningful UTI testing without requiring an in-person visit?

PCR-based UTI testing offers a compelling alternative. By identifying common UTI-causing pathogens – along with key antibiotic resistance genes – PCR testing can provide faster, more actionable insights for both patients and providers.

What’s now available through Junction

Through our collaboration with MyUTI, Junction customers can now offer a PCR-based, at-home UTI test as part of their diagnostic workflows.

This capability is available to Junction’s B2B partners and is especially well suited for:

  1. Digital health and telehealth platforms
  2. Women’s health and specialty care programs
  3. Virtual-first primary care and chronic care models

With Junction, partners can offer this testing under their own brand, while Junction manages the underlying operational complexity – including lab connectivity, kit fulfillment workflows, and results delivery.

MyUTI provides the clinically validated test experience behind the scenes, while Junction serves as the infrastructure layer that makes it scalable and operationally reliable.

How this fits into Junction’s broader diagnostics platform

Junction already supports multiple at-home collection modalities and lab partners across a wide range of use cases. Adding PCR-based UTI testing expands that portfolio with a category-specific diagnostic that addresses a well-defined clinical need and growing demand from digital care teams.

This reflects how we think about diagnostics at Junction: not just enabling collection or lab access, but helping partners deliver the right tests, in the right format, for modern care delivery
